KBC4:
One Competition question having four multiple choice answer
options will be aired each day during the promotions of the
Show beginning from August 2, 2010 to August 8, 2010 for all
landline telephone and mobile telephone subscribers (“First
round Period”) and for the period commencing from August 11
to 15, 2010 for all Idea
subscribers (“First Idea round Period”) i.e. a total of
seven unique questions will be asked during the First round
Period and a total of 5 unique questions will be asked
during the First Idea round Period. The promotions will be
aired inviting all viewers to register for the Competition.
The telephone lines and the mobile phone lines and SMS
acceptance, for each question of the First round Period and
First Idea round Period, shall be open for twenty four (24)
hours i.e. beginning from 9:00:00 pm (IST) to next day
8:59:59 pm (IST) only. Detailed timelines are as below |

You can register by answering the on-air question through an
SMS or by calling on the IVR number.
The operator wise registration details of the numbers to be
dialled for IVR and short code for sending
SMS with the answer options are listed below:

Subscribers of all operators can send in their SMSs to
52525. If you are an Idea subscriber, you can
also send in your SMS to 55456. All registration through
SMSs need to be in the following format:
“KBC <space>< A/B/C/D> <space><Age in completed years>
<space><Gender>”. e.g.: If the correct
answer to the question aired is “A” according to you, you
are 21 years and 2 months old and are a
male; you are required to send “KBC A 21 M”.
SMS : Every SMS sent to the registration numbers will be
charged as below.
• Upto Rs.3/- per SMS – 52525*(All Subscribers)
• Upto Rs.3/- per SMS – 55456 (IDEA Subscribers)
SMS’s sent in the wrong format or with the incorrect answer
are also chargeable
IVR: All calls made to the registration numbers will be
charged as below.
• Upto Rs.3/- per minute – 55456 (IDEA Subscribers)
*Available only for IDEA mobile subscribers. T&Cs on

• Calls charged at 20 second pulse rate – 5052525 (BSNL/MTNL
Landline)
*Available only for BSNL/MTNL landline subscribers in select

Landline in Rajasthan & Punjab)
*Available only for BSNL landline subscribers in Rajasthan &

there is no restriction on sending SMS or make calls for
reaching the auditions. However, there is
no weightage given to number of calls made / SMSs sent at
the time of shortlisting for auditions. The
final selection is made on a random basis from amongst all
valid and correct registrations received

you were selected in the random
shortlist, you will receive a call from us in around three
(3) working days from the date of close of
registration lines for that question
