This German-Bengali actress was born as Dia Handrich on 9th
December 1982 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her father was a
German interior designer, Frank Handrich and her mother is a
Bengali, Deepa. Dia’s parents divorced when she was six years
old. Her father passed away three years later. Her mother
remarried a Muslim, Ahmed Mirza.
She spent her school years in Hyderabad at the Vidyaranya High
School for Boys & Girls and later at Nazr School.
