About IGNOU
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was
establishment in 1985. The university offers different courses
in the form of Undergraduate certificates and diplomas,
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and Doctorate degree. The
education is spread in predictable as well as up-and-coming
areas like Consumer Protection, Continuing Medical and Health
Education, Disaster Management, Environment, Food and Nutrition,
Human Rights, HIV/AIDs, Laboratory Techniques, Participatory
Forest Management, Teacher Education, Tourism and Women
Empowerment and Child Development.
The University has developed network of 58 Regional Centres, 6
Sub-Regional Centres and 1400 Study Centres in the country to
offer easy admission and efficient support services. The IGNOU
plans to set up association and partnerships with government
agencies and international organizations like Commonwealth
Secretariat, Commonwealth of Learning (COL), UNESCO and World
Health Organization (WHO).
Eligibility
For MBA program student should have Bachelor’s Degree with 3
years of managerial /supervisory/professional experience or
Professional Degree in streams like Architecture, Engineering,
Law, Medicine, Pharmacy or Technology or Professional
Qualifications in Accountancy, Cost and Works Accountancy or
Company Secretary Ship or A Master’s degree in any subject.
Entrance Test
Management Programs Admissions are done through OPENMAT Entrance
Exams in IGNOU, twice a year. A student needs to fill up
application form for OPENMAT given in the student handbook and
prospectus.
Fee Structure
Each Course has course fee of Rs. 800/-, payable at time of
Admission or Re-Registration. Examination fee is incorporated in
course fee. It also envelops cost of study material and
counseling.
How to apply
Student Handbook & Prospectus can be available at Registrar
(SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110 068 or at all
Regional Centres, Study Centres, and IGNOUarmy, Navy, Air Force
And Assam Rifles Recognized Regional Centres. Student can also
get the Student Handbook and Prospectus on university’s website
www.ignou.ac.in. The candidates first need to send Demand Draft
of Rs. 550/- (Rupees five hundred fifty only) favoring IGNOU
payable at New Delhi to download the Form.
