Will CBSE Include Income Tax, Military Lesson in Social Science?
Many government departments in the nation, like the military and paramilitary
forces and industry bodies, have appealed the Central Board of Secondary
Education aka CBSE to add their work as a lesson in students’ social science
textbooks. |

The government departments wish their functions and achievements
to be consisted in the school syllabus for social studies,
causing that they like to ‘impress the young generation’ by
emphasizing on their role in developing the nation.
Academics have argued over the advices, claiming that if the
demands by these government departments are heeded, it would
make the social science syllabus stronger than it already is.
The Board has not yet concluded on any decision over the
requests.
A professor from the National Council for Educational Research
and Training NCERT, that makes the syllabus for school textbooks
all across the country, told that many organizations like the
Income Tax Department and the armed forces have forced the CBSE
to comprise their work as part of the social sciences syllabus.
